Ashton Sixth Form College are celebrating a remarkable milestone for one of their most cherished team members. Kathleen, a cleaner at the college since 2002, has just turned 80 years old – and she continues to work with the energy and enthusiasm of someone half her age.
Known for her impeccable standards, cheerful presence and deep dedication, Kath has been described by colleagues as “top-notch” and “an inspiration.” Centre Principal Lisa Richards said:
“I don’t know what I’d do without Kath – she works with such drive and energy that it’s hard to believe she’s just turned 80! She does a fantastic job and we’re so lucky to have her.”
In recognition of her outstanding commitment to the college and to education, the college has nominated Kath to attend a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in May where she'll be attending to celebrate more than 20 years of exceptional service.
Kath’s commitment and positivity have made a lasting impact on the college community, and all at Ashton Sixth Form College are proud to celebrate her 80th birthday and this well-deserved honour.
Happy Birthday Kath!
