Councillors for Hyde Werneth, Phil Chadwick and Ruth Welsh, have arranged community litter picks on Waverley Road.

The event has been created in partnership with the newly founded Waverley Road/Grosvenor Road Neighbourhood Watch Group.

Those interested in joining can meet at the green on Waverley Road on the following dates:

  • Sunday August 15

  • Sunday September 12

  • Sunday October 10

  • Sunday November 7

  • Sunday December 5

All litter picks run from 11pm-1pm.

The campaign by councillors comes after the success of the Great British Spring Clean across Hyde Werneth, which saw a total of 45 bags of rubbish collected.
