A Hyde church will be holding its first Christmas Market in 25 years this Saturday, December 9.
St Thomas', situated on Lumn Road, will be opening its doors for all residents between 10am and 4pm.
Peter Ball-Foster, the churchwarden, said: "We're hoping to make this an annual event. Members of the congregation have been working hard making craft work to sell at the market and there will also be a bookstall, a tombola and a visit from a very special visitor - Father Christmas."
Visitors can also enjoy a model railway experience with Father Ed's 'The Polar Express'.
All money raised will contribute to the safe removal of the tree growing from the church chimney.
