Vandals caused £600 of damage after breaking into and ransacking a hospice’s charity shop in Denton last week.
The culprits smashed in the back door of Willow Wood’s store on Reddish Lane before trashing stock on the shop floor.
“It is scandalous that someone can do this to a charity shop,” said a spokesperson for the hospice.
“This incident has not just caused financial damage, it’s impacted our dedicated team, who work tirelessly to support the Hospice and community.
“Despite this heartbreaking setback, the shop remains open and we’d love for you to pop in and show your support.
“This is a considerable amount of money that could be spent on a nurse to provide care for our patients or bereavement sessions for a loved one in grief.”
Police say the incident happened overnight on Monday 14 – Tuesday 15 April and if anybody has any information, CCTV or dashcam footage, then they should call the non-emergency 101 number quoting incident number 625150425.
