The Parish Church of St Michael and All Angels in Mottram will be open during Heritage Open Days this weekend.
Visitors can expect history, tea, cakes and ancient graffiti.
This year will also see The Picture Show - an exhibition by local artists Joan Walker and Anne Harrey, with 50 original paintings to enjoy or buy.
You can take a guided tour of the church and meet members of the Tameside Archaeological Society.
The church is open on Saturday between 10am and 4pm and on Sunday from 12pm to 4pm.
On Sunday, anyone is welcome to join the 10.30am service before the exhibition opens at noon.
The church will also be open on Saturday evening between 7pm and 9pm for wine and nibbles, a guided tour of the building at 7.30pm, to listen to a local legend in the Staveley Chapel at 8pm, and a tower tour at 8.30pm.
