Angela Rayner's agent believes she will double her majority in Tameside.
Tameside Labour leader and Angela Rayner's agent Ged Cooney said: "We had a great campaign with a lot of support on the doorstep. We are not surprised people have had enough of this Tory government, and we are predicting our majority will double.
"It's not complicated. The Cost of Living just going to the shop and trying to buy food for a week and having to cut the heating off in the winter, no wage rises and mortgage increases were all mentioned on the doorstep."
