Visitors to Mossley Community Centre helped to brew up much-needed cash for the popular site.
The community centre, on Roughtown Road, held a vintage-style afternoon tea to help raise funds for the building.
Chris Frost, from the centre, said: “It was amazing. Forty-eight people enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea of freshly made scones, cakes and sandwiches.
“Sally Hamer put her best baking skills to great use, while music was supplied by The Spring Chickens.
“More than £400 was raised towards the ongoing running costs of the centre. It was a really lovely afternoon.
“This weekend sees the return of the ever-popular New to You Fashion Show on Saturday at 2.30pm.
"All money raised will be put towards the new ramped entrance."
