Full list of Tameside schools used as polling stations on election day

On Thursday voters will head out to put a cross next to the name of the person they want to become their next MP.

The people of Greater Manchester will walk into their local polling station to make that decision. There are a number of locations dotted across the city-region that are used as polling stations, usually church halls or community spaces in the heart of constituencies.

In many places, schools act as polling stations and give up space so that people can head in to cast their votes. Greater Manchester is no exception with dozens of schools being used in each constituency.
Most of these schools will remain open as normal throughout the day – however some may have to partially close or shut entirely.

Tameside Council could not confirm which of their schools would be closed, as it is the decision of the individual schools’ leadership teams whether they stay open or not. However, there are a number of schools in the region that are being used as polling stations.

If you need to know if a specific school is open or closed on election day, then please get in touch with the school or go to their website.
