A 10-week free series of tea dances launches at Stalybridge Labour Club today (Friday) to bring people together after covid.
The tea dance will run from 2pm to 4pm and will include sandwiches prepared by Dukinfield and Stalybridge WI, home-made cake baked by Tina Cooper and music provided by local residents - all for free.
Stalybridge’s North councillors Jan Jackson, Adrian Pearce and Sam Gosling say they are fully behind the initiative to help addresses isolation and loneliness amongst residents in Stalybridge.
“We will be volunteering on the day to make sure the afternoon tea dances are a success” added Cllr Jackson.
For more details about the event you can call Cllr Pearce on 0161 303 8286 or contact The New Labour Club.
