Ashton's former Trifles restaurant could become a hot food takeaway if planning permission is granted.
The former restaurant - popular for its cakes and coffee - would not have to undergo much alteration to fit the new business bill, a report suggests.
Proposals for the new business say it would improve the location, bringing the empty premises back into use.
There would be no need for external alterations and only cosmetic internal alterations would be required.
Suggested trading hours would be 9am to midnight seven days a week.
