A lane has been closed on the M60 following flash flooding.
Sudden downpours this morning deluged the motorway, causing the clockwise carriageway to become impassable between junctions 22 and 23 in Ashton.
National Highways have described the incident as ‘severe’, with no estimate of when the road will be clear.
