In a statement, John Robinson's family called him a loving brother, uncle and friend with a heart of gold.
The family of a man who was murdered in Dukinfield have paid tribute to him.
At 12.15am on Thursday 23 May 2019, police were called by the ambulance service to reports that a man had been stabbed at a property in Pennine Terrace on Peel Street, Dukinfield.
When officers attended, they sadly discovered the body of a man who has since been formally identified as 37-year-old John Robinson.
Paying tribute to John, his family said: “John was a loving brother, uncle and friend who loved his family.
“Everyone loved him that knew him. He had a heart of gold, was funny and hard-working. John was a big Manchester United fan.
“The whole family are heartbroken and devastated.”
34-year-old Claire McMahon of Pennine Terrace, Dukinfield has been charged with his murder.
She will appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday 28 May 2019.)
