Elderly woman's bag stolen in Denton

Police have released a CCTV image of a male suspect.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after an elderly woman's bag was stolen in Denton.

She was shopping at the Crownpoint North Retail Park on Worthington Way at around 1.30pm last Saturday afternoon (12 November) when her handbag was snatched from her. 

The black and brown bag had a yellow wedding ring in it, as well as a Samsung J12 phone, red purse, Skoda car key, a bus pass and a driving licence.

Police have described the suspect as being of large build, with bald/thinning hair, no facial hair and thick black-rimmed glasses. 

Anyone who may have information about the incident, or has received any of the stolen goods, is asked to contact police on 0161 856 9484 quoting crime reference number CRI/06GG/0027146/22.
