Police have issued a warning to the elderly to be extra careful when withdrawing cash from ATM machines after a spate of distraction thefts in the Hyde area.
The offender has claimed the cash machine is broken before distracting elderly victims and withdrawing their cash for himself.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak with and are appealing for anyone who recognises him to contact them.
Anyone with information should contact the police via LiveChat or by calling 101 quoting crime reference CRI/06GG/0019777/22.
