Senior citizens in Dukinfield were treated to lunch and ‘royal’ entertainment from the ‘King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’ Elvis Presley thanks to their local councillors.
They were invited to Loxley House where they were served potato pie and sponge and custard, before enjoying a game of bingo and a performance by an Elvis tribute act.
Older folk enjoyed themselves and Cllr Jackie Lane said that it was a ‘fantastic event’.
She gave special thanks to Sharon and her staff in the kitchen for the fantastic food and volunteers Sue, Anne, Dawson, Brian, Catherine, Janet, Val, Paul, Donna, Lee and Leanne for their continual hard work and support.
