Eight-year-old Evie Torr is a pupil at Yew tree Primary School in Dukinfield and has been busy playing her part to keep her community clean and tidy.
Evie is busy tidying up around Dewsnap Lane playing field and the surrounding areas.
She likes to play on the fields but says she is annoyed at the people who drop their litter and wants to help keeping it clean. She even has her own litter picking equipment. Evie’s efforts have been praised by Dukinfield councillor John Taylor.
He said: “Evie is setting a good example for young and old and I encourage everyone to follow her example. We are always on hand to help and supply litter picking equipment too.”
