Droylsden church suffered a break-in over Christmas

St Martin's Church in Droylsden suffered a break-in over Christmas.

The incident occurred in the evening of 23 December, leaving a glass window broken.

As well as this, the sound system which included microphones and ipods were stolen, all of which were set up for the festivities on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

However, with the generosity of the local community loaning the church a sound system, they were able to continue their Christmas services.

The church is a community hub as groups such as Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Brownies, Guides, Tots groups, Tai Chi, Performing Arts, Play and Praise, Place of Welcome meet there.

As a result of this, the church are asking for donations via their JustGiving page to raise £2,500 in order to repair the damage that was done but also to buy a new sound system so they can use things such as microphones and speakers.

If you are interested in donating to this cause, you can make a donation through the link below.
