A driver was taken to hospital after a car collided with a pole in Stalybridge.
Greater Manchester Police said they were called to The Arcade shortly before 7am on Monday morning (1 August) to reports of a road traffic accident.
Firefighters freed a woman from the car and she was taken to hospital with a neck injury, which is not thought to be life threatening.
It is believed that there wasn’t another vehicle or party involved, a GMP spokesperson has said.
Diversions were put in place whilst the vehicle was recovered. High Street was closed close to the junction with Hollins Street until around 10am.
Any witnesses are asked to contact Greater Manchester Police via gmp.police.uk or calling 101.
