Barnardo's charity shop in Denton will be taking part in a sponsored beach bike race in Skegness this weekend.
They have already raised £350 and are hoping to raise £500.
Nadine Quirk, who is the manager of the Stockport Road shop, said: "It is a super hard race. One of our team Tony Shackleton is taking part for us - one race is on Saturday, a sprint race taking one hour 30 minutes to complete at 10:30 and the other race on Sunday is at 11:30 which is a huge three hours of racing.
"This weekend the team will be cheering Tony on at the side of the track and we would love you to support us this weekend."
