Creative fun and Christmas cheer at Ashton Market Hall family event

Ashton Market Hall was filled with festive cheer on Saturday 29th November as Father Christmas made a special appearance, joined by craft sessions and live musical entertainment to help usher in the Christmas season.

Families flocked to the Market Hall throughout the day, where children had the chance to meet Father Christmas and share their Christmas wishes. His arrival proved a major highlight for younger visitors, adding a touch of magic to the busy weekend atmosphere.

Local artist and maker Paul Pickford hosted engaging craft activities, giving children the opportunity to get creative with seasonal makes and take home their handmade treasures. His drop-in sessions were a hit with families looking for festive fun.

Adding to the lively atmosphere, teenager Jack Doyle performed a selection of music for shoppers and visitors, showcasing his talent and bringing an extra layer of entertainment to the event. His performance drew crowds and contributed to the warm, community-focused feel of the day.
