The National Lottery is urging Tameside residents to check their old tickets, as a £1 million prize has so far gone unclaimed.
Someone in the Tameside area has won the £1 million prize for matching five numbers plus the bonus ball, but has yet to claim their potential life-changing winnings. The winning ticket for the July 1st (2026) draw was purchased somewhere in Tameside, but The National Lottery is being no more specific than that (for now).
The missing winner matched the five main numbers plus the bonus ball in Round 2 of the July 1st draw, netting them a cool £1 million. However, no one has yet come forward to claim the sizable prize.
If you think you may have the winner in a coat pocket or down the back of the sofa, check your ticket for the winning numbers of 5, 8, 26, 33, 39, and 42, with the bonus ball of 54. Lottery winners have 180 days to claim their winnings, so the lucky winner of this prize has until midnight on December 28th, 2026 to claim. If no one claims the prize by then, the money will be redirected to National Lottery-funded good causes.
