Ashton’s Waterloo and Taunton Conservative Club celebrated its 130th anniversary in style over the bank holiday weekend.
The day included live entertainment, a crown green bowls match, food and drink stalls, and a hamper draw.
The club, built by the architects John Eaton and Sons, who also designed Dukinfield Town Hall, opened in 1891 as a private gentleman’s club.
Distinguished guests from the Association of Conservative Clubs and Tameside Councillors Dan Costello and Liam Billington attended the day’s proceedings.
Club chairman Leon Tamcken said: “Like many clubs up and down the country, the Covid 19 pandemic hit us hard, and the recovery has been a tough one.
“However we’ve made it through and we’re proud to be able to celebrate this amazing milestone.”
