Parishioners in Top Mossley were welcomed back to Sunday services this morning with a copy of the Tameside Reporter.
The Rev David Warner took delivery of the papers on Saturday to place for worshippers at St John’s and St George’s, now services in churches can start again.
He said: “We are now able to have worship services again, so will be meeting on Sundays at 9.30am for Parish Communion at St John the Baptist Carrhill Road, and then at 11am for Parish Eucharist at St George’s, Mossley."
Social distancing and safety precautions will all be in place.
Churches are now permitted to hold baptisms, funerals and weddings although there remain limits on the number of people who can attend.
