Cannabis farm found in Dukinfield

Over 100 cannabis plants have been discovered inside a house in Dukinfield.

Police were initially called to reports of a burglary at a house on Chapel Street on Wednesday night (March 25).

However, they got more than they bargained for when they arrived as, when they did, they discovered a cannabis farm.

Officers from the Ashton policing team removed more than 100 of the plants from the property.

Greater Manchester Police say an investigation has been launched in a bid to trace the owner of the plants.

Anyone with any information should contact police on 101 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
