Stalybridge-based charity Cancer Warriors held its first new and improved cancer support coffee morning this week at Hyde’s Grafton Centre.
The information and support event will now be held every fourth Monday of the month from 11am till 1pm at the centre.
The coffee morning is aimed at anyone living with and beyond cancer as well as those who have been affected by cancer, including family members or friends.
You can enjoy a cuppa and cake while providing peer2peer advice, information and support in a non clinical environment and in a relaxed atmosphere.
The aim of the satellite drop in is to reach out to anyone in the Tameside community, but specifically is aimed at helping Hyde and Hattersley residents who are unable to make it to Cancer Warriors’ information and support centre in Melbourne Street, Stalybridge
On Monday the group was joined by the Civic Mayor of Tameside Cllr Janet Cooper, who attended to find out more about the services Cancer Warriors provide for the Tameside community.
She enjoyed a cuppa and a slice of delicious cheesecake donated by ‘Just Us Cheesecakes’ while talking to volunteers and cancer patients about the great service Cancer Warriors is provide.
