The area around Dukinfield Cemetery has been closed off after reports of 'remains’ being found nearby.
Police arrived at the scene yesterday afternoon (Saturday September 14) after a member of the public stumbled across unspecified objects in woodland, which prompted a large-scale response from GMP.
Officers, including forensic experts, have been there overnight with a presence on Water Street and Prospect Road at the eastern end of the cemetery.
