Community unites in support of hospice to raise £1,350
Audenshaw came alive as Bollywood Curry Night 2026 lit up The Pearl Restaurant with a sold-out evening of unity, culture and compassion in support of Willow Wood Hospice.
Organised by Tameside councillor and hospice patron Taf Sharif, the night brought together people from across Tameside’s diverse communities, united by one shared purpose - to support vital end-of-life care for local families.
Guests enjoyed exceptional hospitality from The Pearl, electrifying performances by multi-genre music artist and international event master Joga Jeezy and dancer Noreen Ahmed, and an atmosphere filled with warmth and generosity. Thanks to incredible volunteers, supporters, local businesses and media partners, the evening raised fantastic funds of £1,350 for a truly local cause.
Cllr Taf Sharif said: "It was an honour to bring our community together for such a special evening in support of Willow Wood Hospice. The room was filled with people from diverse communities, all united by compassion and a shared commitment to making a difference.
"My heartfelt thanks go to our host The Pearl restaurant, our performers Joga Jeezy & Noreen, our media, every guest, volunteer & supporter who made this unforgettable night possible.
"Together, the community proved that when we stand united, we can make a real difference."
