Audenshaw School is celebrating after its Under 15 and Under 16 football teams lifted silverware.
Both teams beat off stiff competition to win the Tameside Cup.
The Under 16s have enjoyed a great season and capped it off with a memorable performance at Hyde United’s Ewen Fields, beating St Damiens, Ashton, 5-0. The five-star performance came courtesy of goals from Turner, Reddicen and a Whitbread hat-trick.
Meanwhile, the Under 15s retained the cup after a confident 3-1 win against St Damiens, thanks to goals from Cheema and a double from Wood. The latter was also named as the Man of the Match.

Unfortunately, the Under 14s were unable to reproduce the same display as their older counterparts, instead falling to a narrow 1-0 defeat to local rivals West Hill. The goal arrived with just two minutes of the game remaining. Defeat marked the third consecutive season that the squad had lost the final.
