Ashton Town Team and Tameside Markets are hoping to 'kick off' the Jubilee weekend in style on Saturday (4 June).
They will be welcoming members of Sitsiam Martial Arts Camp to the market ground for a special demonstration event.
At noon, Sitsiam Camp will be showcasing the skills of Muay Thai featuring adults and children. The group is frequently invited along to the town centre to showcase the techniques members have learned.
Chair of Ashton Town Team Kevin Taylor, BEM, said: “It’s wonderful that Sitsiam Camp is joining us on such a special weekend celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Shoppers can also pose next to our life-sized cut-out of The Queen as they pick up their fresh foods, clothing and essentials from our independent businesses in the town centre.”
Also on Saturday 4 June, the Ladysmith will be hosting a Jubilee craft event too.
