Ashton robbery CCTV appeal after man's gold chain stolen

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to.

A man was threatened and had a gold chain of sentimental value stolen whilst sat waiting for a bus in Ashton. 

Police have been investigating the robbery, which happened at around 3pm on 31 August at the Ashton-under-Lyne Interchange off Wellington Road. 

They said an unknown male approached a man in his 20s and then, after threatening him and stealing the chain, fled the scene. 

Detectives have now released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to who may be able to help with their enquiries.
