An Ashton man recently published his very own cookbook full of recipes inspired by his childhood.
Declan Patel has compiled a book of the traditional Indian recipes his grandma taught him as a child.
'Grandma Patel's Indian Cookbook' consists of 52 delicious recipes, ranging from unbeatable breakfast dishes to mouth-watering dessert treats.
The 27-year-old is hoping to share his love for cooking with others and help them along their own cooking journey.
The book can be purchased on the official website (www.decdough.com) or an e-book can be downloaded from Amazon.
Dec's passion for cooking has also led him to launching 'Dec's Cooking School' in Prestwich. Classes are on offer both in-person and virtually.
He said: "This all began when I started writing my first book, Grandma Patel's Indian Cookbook, last August.
"Unfortunately my Grandma isn't too well at the minute which means she can't cook, so I just wanted to do something to keep her memory going.
"Each recipe was inspired by the memories I got with her, the taste just really takes me back.
"I'm so excited to share the knowledge and techniques I've learnt from my Grandma with others."
