Sir Geoff Hurst - the only surviving member of England's World Cup winning team - has revealed he feels 'extreme sadness' when he sees picture of his former team mates.
Sir Geoff Hurst scored a hat-trick as Sir Alf Ramsey's side beat West Germany 4-2 at Wembley to win the World Cup 58 years ago.
Bobby Charlton's death last year left West Ham legend Sir Geoff, 82, as the last remaining hero of 1966.
Speaking to The Times, he said: "It's no fun getting old. There's an element of lottery about it about how long you've got and what you might get.
"Every time I see a picture [of the 1966 team] or see a game we played, I feel extreme sadness. To go through what we did together… They were a great bunch of lads and a great bunch of players."
