The new Ashton Artisan Market made its debut on Sunday (July 19th), with dozens of stalls located around Market Street and Bow Street.
Delivered in partnership with Independent Street, the Ashton Artisan Market saw 60+ independent businesses come together to provide a day of fun, food, live music, and free face painting. And the continuing nice weather meant that people came out in their droves for the event.
The stalls in situ outside the Ashton Indoor Market were selling arts and crafts, jewellery, fragrances, cheeses, cakes, honey, doughnuts, pies, pasties, sweets, olives, spirits, and a lot more besides. The range of products on sale was impressive, and reasonably priced. There were also a range of stalls selling street food from around the world.

This was just the first Ashton Artisan Market event, with more planned for the rest of 2026. They’re scheduled to be held on every third Sunday of the month through until December. The next event will be held on August 16th from 11am until 4pm.
