Tameside is set to lose another high street bank, with Denton's TSB branch to close its doors permanently next year.
The branch on Ashton Road has been earmarked for closure on 17 May 2022.
It will be one of 70 branches to shut by the end of June.
This will affect around 150 members of staff, who will be offered alternative roles.
Just over a year ago, the bank had 475 branches but, following the latest announcement and a significant closure programme throughout this year, it will be left with just 220 across the UK.
The bank said the coronavirus pandemic had accelerated customers' use of digital banking.
A spokesperson for TSB said: "We remain committed to face-to-face services through a branch network that covers the whole country, and over 90 per cent of our customers are within a 20-minute drive to their closest branch.
"However, we need to make sure our branches meet the current and future needs of our customers, so we've looked carefully at our branches and how they are used, and we’ve taken the decision to close some of them."
Robin Bulloch, from TSB, said: "Closing branches is an incredibly difficult decision to take. These changes allow us to maintain an extensive branch presence across the country.
"They are accompanied by a significant investment programme to upgrade branches to better suit customer needs. And, where it takes longer to get to the nearest branch, we will introduce more 'pop-up' services in communities."
Based in town halls, libraries and community centres in 10 areas, the pop-up services will allow customers to conduct basic banking, as well as receive digital support.
