Gourley Vets in Ashton raised almost £700 for the pets of homeless people with a family fun day.
Animal lovers gathered on the car park of the surgery to take part in a variety of games and activities.
There was a cycling challenge with Gavin McDonagh from TV’s ‘embarrassing pets’ as well as ice cream from Grandpa Green’s.
There were activities for the four legged visitors as well with dog activities and a lucky dip where there was something for every pet.
The event was held to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the practice and Clinical Director Amanda Smith and all of her team were delighted to welcome the visitors.
The money has gone to StreetVet, a charity founded in 2016 that works to look after the pets of homeless people.
It’s the practice’s chosen charity for the year after a staff vote and they were delighted to donate the money.
