Andy’s Man Club joins Dentons party in the park

Andys Man Club Tameside joined forces with Bake My Day Coffee Cave at Denton’s Party in the Park to Celebrate Community Cohesion

Andy’s Man Club Tameside proudly attended the vibrant Party in the Park event at Victoria Park, Denton on Saturday 24th May, in collaboration with the brilliant team at Bake My Day Coffee Cave. The event, filled with joy, laughter, and local pride, showcased the very best of community spirit and support – a testament to Tameside’s strength in unity.

With the support and presence of TMBC Councillors Vincent Ricci and Denise Ward, as well as countless dedicated community volunteers, the day was a shining example of how people can come together for a common cause. Special recognition goes to David, Colin, and Ged, whose tireless work setting up stalls and stands ensured everything ran smoothly. A heartfelt thank you also goes out to all the local vendors and stallholders for their energy and passion.

Entertainment was in full swing with a standout performance by excellent vocalist Vince Hughes and his lively Rock and Roll Jukebox Show, bringing smiles and rhythm to the park all afternoon.

The event continued on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, featuring Dom Collins, Denton’s Got Talent, and a special performance by Robert Bardsley. With kids’ funfair rides, street vendors, and more entertainment, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

With many community challenges across Tameside,  this weekend’s event is a powerful reminder that community cohesion, compassion, and togetherness always triumph. Andy’s Man Club continues to stand as a beacon of hope and support for men across the region, and this event underlines the strength and resilience found in local unity.

Andy’s Man Club is a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free to attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. Their aim is to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation.

There are currently two groups in Tameside meeting on a Monday evening; Ashton, meeting a Hurst Cross stadium, Denton meeting at the Oasis Centre. Another group is opening on the 23rd of June in Stalybridge at Bower Fold.
