The Age UK Tameside team hosted a special pop-up event last Friday at Ashton Moss Leisure Park to raise funds and boost awareness of the vital services they provide to older residents across the borough.
Visitors to the leisure park stopped by the Age UK Tameside stand to find out more about how the charity supports older people in Tameside with services such as wellbeing activities, information and advice, and practical help at home.
The team were on hand to chat with passersby, distribute leaflets, and signpost anyone who might benefit from their services.
Kate Potter, community engagement worker at Age UK Tameside, said: "It was so great to be outside and engaging with everyone who visited the Retail Park helping to increase awareness of our charity to make sure we support as many people in Tameside as we can. Thank you to Ashton retail Park for having us. We will be back soon!"
The pop-up was located near Cineworld and brought a wide range of visitors wanting to donate or find out more about Age UK Tameside. All donations Kate and the team raised will go directly toward supporting local older people in Tameside.
