Emergency services were called to Guide Lane at 9:10pm on Monday Night.
Greater Manchester Police have said that the 31 year-old man suffered serious injuries following a stabbing, and remains in hospital for treatment.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
No arrests have been made so far.
Witnesses are urged to come forward as soon as possible.
