Denton West Amateur Dramatics Society invite you to a day at the races this week.
For the society will be taking to the stage to perform Ladies’ Day at Denton West Community Centre, on Hulme Road, from Thursday to Saturday. Shows start at 7.30pm.
Amanda Whittington’s play is an exuberant ‘adult’ comedy about four likely lasses from the Hull fish docks on a day trip to the races.
Leaving the factory behind, they swap their fishnets for fascinators, and while their friendships might be tested to the limit, if their luck and their nerve holds, the ladies could hit the jackpot - and more.

All funds raised from the show are donated to the Denton West Community Centre to help with its running costs and keep it open for the many groups that enjoy its facilities.
The society raised more than £1,000 for the centre when they staged their last production ‘Are You Being Served’ last November.
