New Mills AFC's Under-21s team progressed to the next round of the Derbyshire Sunday Junior Cup on penalties after a 3-3 draw with The Commercial Inn of Glossop.
The young Millers led at the break through a penalty from Sam Watson before Kallis Hyde doubled the lead early in the second half.
But the hosts produced a stirring comeback to eventually lead 3-2.
As time was running out, Luke Stang scored an equaliser for James Howe and Rick Adrio's side to take the game to penalties.
Watson missed his spotkick in the shootout but New Mills netted through captain Jacob Kelly, Tom Stanway, Ethan Carter, Ben Allen, Max Fitzgerald and goalkeeper Toby Emmett.
Emmett then proved to be the hero, saving The Commercial's sixth penalty which sent his side through to the next round of the competition.
