WATCH: Pupils Gear Up For The Commonwealth Games

Excitement is building ahead of the Commonwealth Games later this month.

To celebrate the occasion, pupils in Tameside have been taking part in a baton relay, organised by the Tameside School Sports Partnership, and supported by the Running Bee Foundation and the Believe and Achieve Trust.

We spoke to event organiser Emma Toone to see how the event, which concludes on Monday, has gone so far.

 

Commonwealth Games Excitement

School pupils across the borough have been striding out this week as part of a baton relay to celebrate the #CommonwealthGames in Birmingham. The event, which has been organised by the Tameside School Sports Partnership, and supported by The Running Bee Foundation and The Believe and Achieve Trust, officially started last Friday morning at Great Academy Ashton. We spoke to event organiser Emma Toone to see how it's gone so far, the reaction to it from pupils, and the support received from related partners.
