WATCH: Micklehurst CC Hit Out At Vandals Who Cause £1,000 Worth Of Damages

Micklehurst Cricket Club is facing a race against time to get the pitch covers repaired in time for the new season.

Vandals broke in on Sunday night and caused more than £1,000 worth of damage to three covers.

The club say the perpetrators have confessed to their actions and are now discussing financial compensation and a way forward to resolve the situation.

Although it's come as a bitter blow for the club, first team captain Jonny Forrester is concentrating on the upcoming campaign and believes his side have what it takes to deliver promotion.

I spoke to him about the latest developments.
