Hattersley Football Club youngsters were treated to a special guest appearance on Monday from Manchester United’s rising star Anthony Elanga.
Anthony, who scored two goals in the Red Devils’ pre-season fixtures against QPR and Brentford, started his football journey with Hattersley at the age of 11 and has since gone on to feature for United, with manager Ole Gunner Solksajer repeatedly describing the youngster as electric.
During his visit to the Kenward centre in Hattersley, Anthony signed a pair of boots and replica shirts, and also took part in a question and answer session with the children.
We caught up with Anthony and spoke to him about his football journey and the role Hattersley and the club’s coaches played in his development.
