Hadfield St Andrews Cricket Club has received a major boost in the form of a lucrative sponsorship with Specsavers Opticians and Hearing Centre in Glossop.
As part of the sponsorship, the company’s logo will be emblazoned on the sleeve of the first team, second team and T20 shirts.
The deal has been well received by officials, players and supporters at the club, with the money being reinvested into renovation work in the social club and around the ground at Newshaw Lane.
Hadfield, who are hosting an event to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee on Friday, are enjoying a great start to the season and find themselves positioned at the top of Division One in the Greater Manchester Cricket League.
We spoke to club chairman Rick Ball about the importance of the sponsorship to the club’s future. We also spoke to Specsavers’ Paul Hodgson and Nawaz Moin.
