Walker Returns To Curzon

A former Curzon Ashton favourite has returned to the Tameside Stadium ahead of the new season in the National League North.

Sam Walker, a midfielder, re-joins the club having helped Curzon to back-to-back promotions under former boss John Flanagan.

Walker also helped Stockport County to the National League North title in 2019.

He has also had spells with Salford City and Halifax Town.

Lakeland told the club's media team "Sam is a really important signing. He brings Excellent discipline, experience as well as being tactically astute and a born winner. He is physically in the best shape he has ever been in. Having played over 600 career games he has seen a lot of football."

Uping re-joining the club, Walker told Curzon's media team: I"'m so pleased to have joined. After seeing the way Adam has recruited, and the squad's potential, I am excited to get going. My aim is to win football matches, there is loads of potential in this squad and it's up to us to establish our ceiling."
