Tuesday's Football Results

Two of our sides were in action on Tuesday.

Integro League Cup first round:

Glossop North End were knocked out of the Integro League Cup at FC United, despite taking a 2-0 lead by half-time through a Porya Ahmadi brace.

The Rebels were a different side in the second-half and reduced the deficit through Adam Dodd in the 55th minute, before levelling matters in the 63rd minute through Regan Linney.

The game ended 2-2 at the end of 90 minutes, and so the tie was taken straight to penalties, which FC won 6-5.

Meanwhile, in the North West Counties First Division South, New Mills were beaten 2-0 at Ellesmere Rangers. Tawanda Melusi and Josh Brown scoring for the hosts.
