Tom Peers leaves Curzon Ashton

Curzon Ashton has announced prolific forward Tom Peers has left the club, to join Macclesfield FC.

The 27-year-old was The Nash’s top goal scorer last season, scoring 17 goals in 45 games in the league, and he will be a huge miss for Adam Lakeland’s side.

Peers joined the club in December 2021, initially on loan, and impressed in his first season. This move was made permanent in February 2022, when Curzon signed him on a free transfer.

He gained interest from many other clubs due to his superb performances last campaign, helping Curzon finish just 4 points outside the play-off spots, and has chosen to pursue a new challenge, with Macclesfield FC.

Peers took to his Twitter to thank Curzon supporters for their support over the past couple of seasons, “Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Curzon Ashton and everyone involved at the club. It’s a great club with lots of great people involved. I wish you all the best next season and beyond”.
