Tigers storm to second round

Manchester Premier Cup First Round: Hyde United 4-1 Glossop North End

Hyde United ended a four game winless run with a comprehensive 4-1 victory against Glossop in the Manchester Premier Cup.

It was the perfect result for the Tigers, who went two goals ahead by the 32nd minute thanks to Paddy Lane and Liam Tongue. Porya Ahmadi pulled one back for the Hillmen in the 63rd minute, but it matters little as Tongue scored his second of the evening to make it 3-1 in the 67th minute, before Dan Turner added gloss with a fourth in the 89th minute.
