The Big Breakfast

The Safeguard Group, a local firm based in Chadderton, entertained newly-promoted Oldham RL Club's players and coaching staff to breakfast after training on Saturday.

"It was a fantastic gesture by Safeguard and one for which players, staff and club are really appreciative," said head coach Matt Diskin.

The coach's sentiments were echoed by club chairman Chris Hamilton, who now heads a ten-strong managerial team which is keen to build partnerships and corporate friendships across the club's catchment area.

The new Betfred Championship season starts with the visit of Widnes Vikings to Bower Fold, Stalybridge on Sunday, February 2 (3pm kick off) but before then Roughyeds go to Barrow Raiders on Sunday, January 5  (2pm) in a pre-season warm up and to Rochdale Hornets on January 12 (3pm) for the traditional Law Cup clash.
