Teams discover FA Cup opponents

Four of our local sides have discovered who they'll meet in the FA Cup first round qualifying.

Following their 3-0 victory over St Helens Town on Saturday, David Fish's Mossley have been rewarded with a home tie against Ramsbottom United, whilst Ashton United, who beat Squires Gate 2-0, will make the long trip to Scarborough Athletic.

Stalybridge Celtic, who beat Stocksbridge Park Steels 3-1 in front of the BBC cameras, will host Bishop Auckland, and Hyde United will travel to West Allotment Celtic.

Curzon Ashton. - who are Tameside's highest ranked side - enter the competition at a later date. Glossop North End were beaten by City of Liverpool at the weekend, and as a result have been eliminated.

All ties are scheduled to be played next Tuesday (22nd).

The winner of the ties will win a prize fund of £2,250, while the loser will bag £750.
